Kit Option includes, Oats, Agar agar, coffee filter with dormmate slime culture on filter paper, petri dish, pipet
Culture only Option, X3 filter paper with Yellow slime blob culture dormmate
Step-by-Step Activation Instructions
Prepare a Damp Environment: Place the sclerotia on a moist substrate, such as a piece of damp filter paper, paper towel, or 2% agar in a petri dish.
Hydrate the Sclerotia: Use a pipette to place one or two drops of distilled or spring water directly onto the sclerotia. Do not oversaturate the sample; it needs moisture, but not to be submerged.
Provide Food: Place a single dry oat flake (oatmeal) next to the sclerotia to provide energy once it wakes up.
Create Dark Conditions: Place the container in a dark, warm, and humid location. The ideal temperature is room temperature.
Wait for Movement: The slime Mold should awaken and begin to move onto the damp surface within 12–24 hours, seeking out the oat.
Initial Care: Once the plasmodium (active slime) emerges, add a few more oat flakes for food and maintain moisture by spraying the container with water if needed.
